Mandarn, Shanghainese, EnglishAbout me
Hello! I‘m Qingqing and I’m a qualified native Chinese speaker. I have two master's degrees. One is 'Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language' from Fudan University and the other is 'Education and Leadership' from the University of Hertfordshire. I have more than eight years teaching experience and absolutely love it!
I was born and raised in Shanghai for more than 30 years, therefore I also speak Shanghainese. I moved to Norway two years ago and began learning Norwegian, so I am also on a language learning journey. I therefore understand the importance of communication but also the struggles we face as learners of new languages.
I am active, open minded and enjoy experiencing new things. I like to read, drink coffee, do zumba, travel and, of course, I like to talk with different people from different countries and cultures.
I am an open, friendly and outgoing teacher. I believe that learning a language should be enjoyable. I want my students to experience the language rather than learning about it. I have more than six years of college teaching experience with lecturer title. I also have more than two years of language teaching experience, guiding and helping international students to pass the HSK test. Since moving to Norway, I have been teaching children Chinese online and received very positive feedback. I have enjoyed this challenge, however my passion is in teaching young adults (teenagers) and adults.
My teaching experience has made me extremely resourceful, patient and able to adapt quickly to my students' needs. Not every student's goals and learning styles are the same and so neither are my lessons. It is my job to work at your pace, in the style you prefer, on the areas you want to focus on. I am good at organizing and always come to my lessons prepared.
Qingqing is always a great teacher and we have a lot of fun in class! Very engaging and very helpful :)
Qingqing is a friendly and enthusiastic teacher and always comes to class prepared with lots of material and questions to keep the class flowing naturally. She prepares slides and questions personalized to me and my classmate's interests each week and is good at adapting her lessons to meet my level of Chinese. She is eager to help me improve and I would definitely recommend her as a teacher :)
